Nanny Position Opening

May 16th, 2011 · No Comments

We are looking for a full time live-out nanny to care for our very sweet two-year-old at our home in Occoquan, Virginia. Our perfect candidate will be a loving and trustworthy caregiver who enjoys reading books, going for walks, playing games, signing songs and genuinely keeping our sweet toddler happy. We want someone who will fit right in and become part of our family.

This position does not require housekeeping or cooking beyond assembling lunch and snacks for our child and cleaning up after meals and play. Hours will almost always be 9 – 4 Monday through Friday but there will
be rare days when we need our nanny to begin at 8 and some days when we need the nanny to stay until 4:30. We appreciate a bit of flexibility but we do try to always give notice when we will need a bit of extra nanny time.
Position requires reliable personal transportation, experience with toddlers and fluency in English. Must be a non-smoker, willing to provide recent references and submit to a background check. CPR and first aid certification is preferred.

This is a great opportunity for a local evening student as we can easily accommodate night classes. It is also not an issue for a student to complete assignments or study while the toddler naps each day. Our home is just 15 minutes or so from George Mason University. Please note that the Mom works in a home office most days but this is a full-time nanny position, not a mother’s helper role. Mom is available in emergencies, of course, but the nanny provides
full time care and entertainment for the child.

Start date would ideally be on August 1 but we could be flexible on this for the right candidate. This position pays $10 an hour. Send resume to Michelle at
