Isn’t it fitting that on Yom Kippur, the Dvar Torah be given by a Jonah. I was named Jonah because my grandfather reads the Torah portion of Jonah every year among other reasons, and I am even wearing the tallit he gave me, which is covered in doves. For if you didn’t know, Yonah, the original Hebrew form of Jonah, means dove, referring to the one sent by Noah to search for land which returned with an olive branch. (more…)

Stribling Orchard, Sunday, Sept. 25, 11am – 4pm. RSVP on Facebook.
It’s tradition to eat apples and honey on Rosh Hashanah to symbolize a sweet new year. Rather than just picking up apples at the grocery store, Nashim is going to a pick-your-own apple orchard! Please write on the Facebook event wall if you need rides and who can drive. We would like a total head count by Friday, please!
