Congregation Etz Hayim in Arlington, VA is a Conservative
synagogue that is committed to lifelong learning. We are a socially

At this time we are seeking teachers for the following positions:

Religious School Teacher – Sundays only, positions available for
preschool, elementary and middle school classes (9:30am-12:30pm)

Hebrew Teacher – Wednesdays only, positions available in middle school
classes (4:45pm-6:45pm)

Shabbat Service Leader (Saturday mornings, 10:00am-12:00pm) elementary classes

Agudas Achim Shabbat Teacher Sought

NOAM SHABBAT TEACHER –

Agudas Achim Congregation, Alexandria, VA, is seeking a teacher for our Shabbat NOAM Program. The course meets from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon during the school year on Shabbat morning. Must have knowledge of the Conservative Movement Shabbat Morning service.

  • Teacher will help run a Shabbat service for 3rd – 6th graders along with another teacher.

    Part-time Live-in Nanny Sought

    We are looking for a part-time live-in nanny (approximately 15 hours per week) for a 1 year old girl and 3 year old boy. The hours are roughly 6:30 – 8:30am Monday through Friday, and 5 hours during the weekend. Weekend hours are flexible and would be mutually agreed upon by nanny and parents.

    Ideal person has infant and toddler care experience, must have driver’s license and clean driving record, and does not smoke. The position involves driving the kids to the local day care using parent’s car.

    We particularly encourage applicants to apply if they value good nutrition, are physically active, use encouraging language (even when disciplining) and demonstrate a calm demeanor.

    You would be responsible for getting the two children ready for their full day at day care (prepare breakfast and snacks for school, help them get washed and dressed, etc) and drive kids to school in the morning using our car.

    Light housecleaning would involve cleaning up after meals, washing dishes, doing the kids laundry, occasional vacuuming in play area and kids rooms. We encourage kids to clean up after themselves, so teaching the 3 year old to make is bed and clean up his toys is ideal, but you may need to go behind him and finish up the job.

    The compensation is free rent in exchange for 15 hours of child care per week; to include a private bathroom, private furnished bedroom, private back entrance, basic storage space.

    Hebrew School Teachers 2012-13 Sought

    Looking for great Hebrew school teachers for the 2012-2013 school year

    Congregation Beth Emeth in Herndon VA is looking for a few great Hebrew school teachers, grades K-7. Ideal candidates should be Jewishly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching and spreading a love of Judaism to the next generation. Classes meet Sunday morning as well as Wednesday and/or Thursday afternoons during the school year. Unfortunately, we are not close to any public transportation and teachers must be able to drive themselves.
