GMU Hillel introduces the Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF)
JLF is a program for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism. We make no claims about the “right” way to practice or not to practice Judaism. Our job is to help you explore the tradition in a safe space, and find your own place, on your terms, Jewishly.
JLF meets once a week, for 10 weeks, for an hour. Additionally, fellows earn a $200 stipend at the end of the semester, just for participating!
This is a pluralistic and non-denominational program so everyone is welcome no matter your orientation or Jewish background – the goal of JLF is to give you a space to explore what being Jewish could mean to you with a community of interesting and fun people. Put simply, we want you to ask “big questions” about being Jewish, we don’t want to give you “big answers.”
